Trying to lose weight and get into shape can be a difficult and challenging task. There are 3 things I believe a person should have in order to succeed.
Mind - a person needs to be disciplined. Disciplined to eat the right foods and avoid or limit the wrong foods. You must also introduce exercise into your routine on a regular basis.
Body - you need to nourish your body with the proper foods and exercise.
Spirit - you need to be at peace with yourself and come to terms with any issues in your life that makes you turn to food for comfort. Love yourself. Want the change in your life that will make you feel better, look better and become an even happier person.
Without having all three areas; discipline, the proper food and exercise and the desire to be a better, happier person - you will fail.

Mind.Body.Spirit - Health!
Introduction
A few years ago I decided to make a change in my life, the change I made was to regain my health because my health had been run into the ground.
I had a great job, a fantastic side business but poor health. I slept poorly, woke up in pain, had no energy, I couldn't even do 10 sit-ups. At 40 I felt like 80 and looked 50.
My mission I decided to take on was to lose weight and get back into shape. It was a plan I had played with 100 times before and always failed. This time was going to be different.
I set out to find the magic pill that was going to help me shed the pounds. The holy grail of diet. I knew it was out there but where was it hiding?
I invested hundreds of dollars looking for magic - I tried all the pills, drinks, teas out there. Nothing seemed to work. I still had the cravings and I am sure I was putting chemicals in my body that was hurting me more than helping.
One day I went into a health store and told the lady what I was looking for. She pointed to a bottle on the shelf. It was the last one she had. There was a golden glow around it as if a beam of light was being cast on it from the heavens. I bought it and planned on taking the pill the next day.
I could hardly wait until morning. I poured my body riddled with pain out of bed, limped to the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water and ingested the magic pill. Now what?
I got ready for work and headed to the office... but what was this? A tingle started to develop in my body. It was like a blast of energy - a rush of adrenaline. The hair on my head and neck was standing up. The morning hunger started to go away. It was almost instantaneous - but would it last?
I got to work and felt like I had drank 10 cups of coffee but I liked it.
10 o'clock came around and I wasn't hungry....
I blew through 12 with no hunger...
3 was upon me and... food? What is food?
I was kind of worried when 6 knocked on my door and all I wanted to eat was a bowl of soup. I hadn't eaten all day and still wasn't hungry...
Needless to say - I found what I was looking for. This was it. But now I had to figure out how to do it the right way and the safe way. I didn't want to kill myself getting healthy. This is where my Mind.Body.Spirit needed healing and focusing.
